RIDE PARK IS OPEN
Details and Description:
Located off Highway 19, 15 kms past Port Hasting, Inverness County, Cape Breton. Craigmore Ride Park is situated on 400 acres of varied slopes of active forestry land. Harvesting activity has opened up new areas and enabled new trails to be developed and existing routes changed. There are two areas, divided by the service road which runs perpendicular to the highway which gives access to the gravel pit that has intermittent use. The South Side (on right of service road as viewed looking at the mountain and North Side on the left) South Side follows a single track of varied elevation changes and tight turns, the north side contains switchbacks and intermediate slopes with more advanced options for steeper climbs. Most of this side should be ridden when confident use of clutch, throttle and brakes are present.
Amenities:
There is an ample parking and staging area and camping is permitted for NSORRA members. There is a pit toilet on site. No garbage collection on site so please pack out everything you bring in.
Users:
All current NSORRA members are welcome to use this park from dawn to dusk when posted as open.
There is a landowner cabin on site and riders are asked to NOT enter their marked driveway, or investigate any equipment left on site for any reason. Please respect our generous landowner and just use the wonderful trails.
If you encounter any damage, or maintenance issues while using the ride park, please report them to info@nsorra.ca 902-233-2527 as soon as possible so they can be attended to.
